Gothic Cathedral
A poem submission by Bublinko
Walking on the streets of Paris at night Trying to find out how to win this fight Wondering where to go and who I am In the shade of Notre Dame Suddenly unknown face looked at me And I knew we were meant to be You are like a gothic cathedral You look so dark and cold Your soul seems to be so old But when I get deep inside I can see all the shining lights Like colorful stained glass inside the cathedral You make me feel so celestial You are my gothic cathedral Baby, my gothic cathedral Give me a home, a place to stay I get down on my knees and pray You’re my savior, my holy prayer Your altar’s where the truth lays Suddenly I’m not lost in darkness anymore You brought the light to my confused soul Lux nova at my face Wrap me in the lace You’re my only religion Art in future vision
inspired by gothic cathedrals and misunderstanding
